Davey the Texas Ranger

Davey went to the zoo for the 1st time with his friend Cade. He loved seeing the animals and the giraffe was by far his favorite animal. They have a train in the petting zoo/kids area and once he heard the train whistle it was over. The animals couldn't compare to a train ride. He rode it twice and had a very happy time. We went out to lunch with Cade and his Mom Amanda afterward. A great 1st zoo trip.

Another French Quarter Festival!
Had a great time. Davey enjoyed the music more this year and I caught him dancing a couple of times. He and his Poppy had a good time. They took long walks together while Mommy, Tia S, and Lou gambled in the Casino. Davey & I took an adventure and rode the streetcar all the way down Canal street. We saw lots of devistation from the Hurricane. It was really amazing, one house would be perfectly fine and the one next to it would be off it's foundation. Davey was impressed of course with the train. He was very interested in the electric wire that connected to the car. He kept looking out the window, making sure it was still there! We had a good time and the only thing that kept him from being sad about leaving his Lou and Poppy was the plane ride! Can't wait till next year.

Atlanta Chidren's Museum

They were having an Arthur exhibit and Davey enjoyed getting to play in Arthur's school set and wanted to sit and watch episodes in a "children's theater"- but when he saw the water, I knew it was over. He fished and splashed, watched other children who were much more boisterous than he, and played with a little girl who wanted to put him in a baby stroller. It is a great place to visit, won't do the membership, but maybe once a year he'll find it intriguing.
