Davey's Knoxville Birthday

Davey turns the big "3"- at least in Knoxville on Saturday. This was our first party with active toddlers and boy did we have a great time. Lots of activity and toy sharing- well not that much- and many awesome gifts from great aunts and Davey's Lou & Poppy. We "all" had yummy cake and a Thomas "choo choo" train theme. Thanks to all my wonderful friends and Davey's fabulous Aunts and cousins. We can't wait till next year!

A night at the zoo with Lola

Davey, Lola, and I went to the Members night at the zoo. We had planned it for a month and Davey was excited about it. They had music and carnival type activities- but as usual after seeing our selet group of animals (elephant, tiger, panda, birds)- Davey heard the ever present "train whistle"- it was over for experiencing nature. He and Lola rode the carousel and train while Mommy got to take the pictures. He enjoyed playing with other children and we had a fun time with Lola. We talked about how tall Davey has become, and that before our eyes- he has grown from an itty-bitty into a kind-spirited little boy. It goes by faster than I thought.

Braves game Saturday Night

Living in Atlanta is cool because there is always something fun to do on a Saturday night with the man in your life!
We headed to a Braves game last night and had a great time. Davey is at that age where he tells you exactly what he wants and when- no more guesswork!

He had a good time eating the usual baseball fair and spent more time actually watching the game. He pointed out when the batter missed and hit the ball. In the 5 innings we were there we saw 3 home runs with fireworks. Davey had a ball, and I loved sharing it with him!

Davey and his bike

Davey has spent so much time on his tricycle lately, I'm almost inclined to enter him in a race. He can pedal faster than you can keep up. We take it to work, Lola's house, the park- EVEYWHERE- expect to see it in Knoxville when we visit. He keeps telling everyone, "look at my new bike". (Even though we've had it for a year!) He was watching an Elmo video and Elmo had his helmet on, so now he has taken to riding it in the house with the helmet. This is a great age. He makes up stop signs, traffic jams and even makes the "beep beep beep" sounds when he backs up. His greatest achievement lately is the pedaling backwards! He thinks he's so hot! HA HA
