These games never go out of style

A Saturday afternoon and a game of Twister. Can it get better than that? The only thing- their little legs can't stretch the whole way! This whole month we've made time for board games and action games. Brings the family together and creates a whole lot of laughs.

We're playing baskkketttballlll!

Ok- so no action shots and no fast breaks.. they are just 5 & 6 year-olds, However it is pretty hilarious to watch. Davey's team is DUKE, obviously UT was not an option or I would have protested. And thank goodness he isn't on the Georgia team! We have a group of cool kids and Coach Brian has a way with teaching kids the basics of dribbling, shooting, and defense. Davey's not too accurate of a shooter, but will rebound and play some pretty good defense. He's got a good head for it and so far it seems his sport of choice. Go Duke!

Happy New Year from Davey's World

What might the New Year hold for this boy and his Mom?
Maybe a new job?
Maybe a fun trip?
Maybe winning the lottery?
Guranteed lots of firsts for this 5-year old. Check out the 1st time bike rider minus the training wheels! There were a couple of falls and plenty of tears, but the day was super successful. Now we'll have to try it on pavement.

Santa rides again...

The Jolly old St. Nick did it again- slipped in, left the gifts and slipped out just as fast, but leaving us some snowy footprints in his wake. (even in Florida, where it never snows) Davey tried super hard to stay up late (well around 9:30) but just couldn't make it to see the man. At 5, it sure is easy to convince him to get to bed or Santa might not visit, but who knows what it will be like when he's 10?

We had a very good Christmas in Florida. Enjoying our family and friends and of course the receiving of presents. Davey was lucky enough to get a Speed Racer Fuji Helixcon Track (see movie for details), and Santa must have spent more than 30-45 minutes figuring out how it went together, and he's pretty mechanically minded! But luckily he taught me how to take it apart for easy travel. Of course their were other presents, but none that rivaled the track & new car to go on it. Mommy got a GPS for her car. Had Santa known how cool Davey thought the GPS (aka, the little T.V.) was, he would have just brought that for the family? But at least Mommy will no longer get lost when she tries a new route in & around Atlanta.

Merry late Christmas
