Davey does the Quarter Fest!

OK, I know you're thinking- all they do is go to New Orleans! Or, that poor kid is subject to all the wild ways of that unholy city... well Your Wrong! He loves it! In fact, I think he would miss the French Quarter Festival if we didn't go. This was his 3rd year, and I think he's just at the right age to really enjoy it! He rode in the wagon, danced to the zydeco music, ate a famous muffaletta, and had a fun time. We spent 3 awesome days in the Big Easy and taking it easy. The weather was perfect, the eats and drinks were great, and the Family time was Awesome!

A day at the Beach

Well it was kinda like 2 nights and 1 day, and it was kinda Biloxi, which isn't your regular sandy beach! In fact since Katrina, it isn't much of a town.

And what exactly do you do at a beach without playing in the sand or water? Well you check out the "rimpin' boats" as Davey called them. As we walked along the dock, I thought, "shrimp gumbo, shrimp kabob, shrimp salad, fried shrimp, shrimp stirfry...." (see Forrest Gump)!
Then later, after the thunder clouds blew past, we hung out at the pool in the Grand Casino and then onto the Hard Rock for a little sight seeing. A fun stop on our way to New Orleans with Lou & Poppy, and a hard look at the devistation of the Hurricane!
